Treehouse is Now Operational
It still needs a bit of stain here and there, hardwood flooring needs to be installed inside, but Randy made an awesome well built house.

WSKG Awards Ceremony
Even though she did not win first place, there were several oohs and aahs in the audience, they made a special award category for her, and they added several art supplies in her prize packet that were unique to her gift bag.

First Treehouse Playdate
We invited a couple of Em's friends over for a playdate afterschool today. They celebrated, of course, by holding a "secret" meeting, declaring me the enemy, and ambushed me with their water cannons.

5 Years Used to be a Long Time
Today it occurred to me that the trip I wanted to take in "five years" is like something I should probably do this year or next year. Yowsers. Gotta get on that. I have been comparing costs of going down by train, rental car, or plane, and train is definitely the easiest, fastest, cheapest way for us all to go. Next, is to decide this year or next. That's up to the husband's job schedule.
And then next, I guess, would be to stop in at the AAA office and see what kinds of deals they have to offer me. And then, finally, I have to get the kids some dresses, cause the little one talks about meeting Cinderella at her castle like it's all she's ever wanted to do in this life.

Shining Inheritance
I've been watching these Korean shows on Netflix. They remind me a lot of American shows from the 80's like Fantasy Island and the Love Boat -- the plot lines are quite simple to follow -- good triumphs over evil, the girl always gets her guy and he usually has lots of money (like a prince, i.e. Cinderella). But they interest me because they are also Korean and that gives it an exotic sort of feeling and they are hokey and fun. I was watching one called Shining Inheritance recently and surprisingly, Emy and Kat have wanted to follow along with the show (which they may as well be G rated, they are even less violent than cartoons). Thing is, it's in Korean, so Emy has to read fast to keep up. And Kat can't read, so I think she's learning Korean just to show off. So, it's kind of great cause I can watch TV, and share with the kids even though it's not made from Disney, AND I am exposing the children to a different culture. Win, win.
