I Write Things...Again

Everything is porous; we are only lead to believe in strength. Time and beauty are subjective feelings akin to happiness and grief; easy prey to weather, relationships, and hormonal imbalances. Space and death are untouchable fancies much like faeries and unicorns. The Earth beneath us, not a dead rock, but a living, thinking, emotional moody female letting us, allowing us all to walk on her...for now. Outer space is a fluid -- astronauts don't float, they swim. And truth, what the holy heck can that possibly be?

William Butler Yeats

The falling of the leaves

Autumn is over the long leaves that love us,
And over the mice in the barley sheaves;
Yellow the leaves of the rowan above us,
And yellow the wet wild-strawberry leaves.

The hour of the waning of love has beset us,
And weary and worn are our sad souls now;
Let us part, ere the season of passion forget us,
With a kiss and a tear on thy drooping brow.
