New Job

I am going to be working as the new assistant at Cornell Cinema. I have been at training this week, and it's been very smooth, easy, and fun which is an amazing relief. I start for real on July 28th full time, and I will work full time for 10 months out of the year which synchs up exactly with Randy's work schedule, which was my main draw to the position originally. Now that I've been there a few days, I am starting to feel like I am going back to college and that this may just be the beginning of a new chapter. We'll see.

Neighbor's House, Tree Split and Landed on Roof

 A straight line of wind, like a tornado but straight instead of twisted, hit our house and our direct neighbor's houses on July 3rd. We are going to have downed trees littering our yard for quite awhile as insurance won't cover fallen trees unless there's actual house damage. It was all very surprising and shocking but really things could have been so much worse.

Many of her friends go away for the summer, so we had them over before the end of school. Randy told them all to walk their LED lights around the campfire so that he could take a picture.

Last school concert

Her first cello teacher, since 3rd grade.

This will be the last cello concert for her at this school. She's moving on to a new school next year, new teacher.

Baby Turtles

She caught two baby painted turtles from our pond. Nice to know they're out there.
