Road Trip Map: Lake Huron Trip Plan

I am mapping out the course of our next camping road trip for the summer. To my surprise, yet again, most weekend campgrounds on the water are already booked! I did manage to reserve a nice campground for a few days but it's was a close call.

This trip will be to the coast of Lake Huron, in Canada. We really like the weather up there in the summer, not too hot, limited mosquitoes, etc.

We decided to travel north again where the summers are cooler and where we can best avoid mosquitoes. We enjoyed the area around Lake Champlain very much and stayed at campgrounds surrounding it. We did venture as far as Quebec.

Jul 2 -3       Moffit Beach and the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves
Jul 4          "Best Fourth in the North" celebration at Ticonderoga, Paradox Lake
Jul 5 - 7      Button Bay State Park, VT (outdoor pool with water slide)
Jul 8 - 11    Ausable Point &  Ausable Chasm for raft tour,
                  and adventure climb.
Jul 12 - 13  I cannot recall what we did or where we went, but I know that I had
                  a great lobster roll at Ray's Seafood Market in VT
Jul 14 -16   Old Montreal via Metro, Biodome, the Underground City
                   and Voiles en Voiles Pirate Climb
Jul 17         Quebec - Dufferin Terrace
Jul 18-20    Quebec - Stoneham Campground where we went tubing.
Jul 21         Island Pond, VT
Jul 22         Cabot (Sarah's for breakfast), D.A.R. VT
