The Great Cortland Pumpkinfest

Went to a pumpkin festival today, and we'd have the pics to prove it too, except that it proved too difficult for us to remember to bring the camera on top of the diapers, wipes, water, snacks, jackets, change of clothes, money, wallets, cell phones, blankets, pre-trip potty breaks, hats, paper towels, plastic bag for car garbage, tissues, etc. necessary to leave the house.

Smiley

Emy didn't smile at me until she was two months old...

maybe it's because she didn't ever have such a cool hat.

PhotoBooth

Macs come equipped with a program called PhotoBooth which use the built in camera (and optional effects) to give your family three second intervals of posable mayhem.

Degrees of Seperation

I actually know someone, who knows someone who is going to vote for McCain, Sarah Palin or no Sarah Palin. It IS a small world after all.

Straw Attack

Got a call from the school nurse today; a five year old girl stuck a straw deep into Emy's ear. She is OK, but of course, there are times in your life when you wish you could have superpowers.

Got her an appt today with her doctor, I think the words that came out of my mouth to get the appointment started out something like, "my daughter was stabbed today at school...in the ear...with a straw...you know...from a juice box..." There are times when, not surprisingly, I cannot think straight.

It's a high probability that her eardrum has NOT been punctured. There are tests they can do to be 100% sure, but as for right now, it looks like it's going to be OK.

1st Family Outing - Lake Ontario

Emelina missed the ocean, so we went to the closest thing we've got - Lake Ontario. We were surprised that it's only an hour and a half away from us. We even passed Syracuse Airport on the way, that's also closer than we thought at 45 minutes (hint hint to all you flyers out there).

Is that a shark Mommy?

Lake Ontario is so big, you can't see the shore on the other side.

Rocky shore.

Mama, look a boo boo...
