She's Here!
Katerina Elise, "Kat Kat" arrived naturally (but with the help of drugs) on Sunday, August 24th at 3 AM, 7.6 pounds, 20 inches long, and with tons of volume. Here are some pics, but really you could just look at pictures of Emy as a newborn as they may as well be twins seperated by five years.

Thank you very much for the teddies, balloons, flowers, etc.

But...then Again
Might be counting chickens, but feeling some mighty strong contractions today. They are not exactly following a regular schedule, but...anyone play Lotto? Can you buy me a ticket for the following numbers for today's game -- 01 05 07 12 22 27?
Argh...Still Pregnant.
Not a sign, not even a hint that this child intends on ever coming out. So, next Wednesday they are going to hook me up to some machines to take a peek and see if everything is OK. They are adamant about inducing me if this thing goes beyond two weeks from now due to potential strain and because after the due date, babies just sit around gaining weight that could make labor more difficult.

Week 39 of 40
Due Date is August 22nd. If she's just like her sister, chances are she will wait until exactly 1 AM of the 22nd to begin her escape, and then take her time until about 11 PM that evening so as to still be "on time". If she's anything like her grandma, she may want to make an appearance tomorrow instead because we have a small party to attend, and grandma has been known to go to great lengths for the sake of partying. Or she may be like her dad, and procrastinate until whenever she feels she is good and ready, to heck with deadlines and schedules. We shall see.

Last Goonie Weekend
Before R goes back to work next week, we've been going around exploring. We have found:
- a great canoe/fishing lake -- Dryden Lake
- a U-Pick Blueberries at someone's house -- we came back with a tubfull.
- a Creamery where they make their own ice cream -- wish I could try the Tiramisu
- and a Hard Cider mill -- Bellweather Hard Cider

Learned a new word today.
The word is fistulated. And it occured to me that there is a world of things city kids don't know about farm life.
