Ice Storm Hits Ithaca

Our power went out from 6 PM to 6 AM. Emy and I ate a candlelight dinner while Randy braved the icy roads to purchase a generator for our coal stove and fridge.



All our trees are sparkly.



















One of our trees lost a limb.








Our daughter gained one.

Step One: Play in front of the fire before going outside.

Update: Reading Rainbow Contest

Em's in Pre-K, which disqualifies her from entry into the contest, since she's too young. But as a consolation prize, they gave her a Curious George Beanie Baby.

Lizards, Frogs, and Snakes

One really cool thing about Ithaca vs. L.A., kids are allowed to hold the snakes, frogs, and lizards rather than peek at them through a crowd of pushy kids.














































However, when you are allowed to be up close to animals, they can jump at you. See white blur headed towards T's face.
